Hello beautiful people, welcome to my blog! I hope you all are taking every possible step to stay safe in this period; washing your hands with soap and water more often, using hand sanitizers and practicing social distancing. Here in Lagos we are asked to stay home for 7 days for now, please folks let’s all abide by the rules passed down to us by our governments, they’re for our good. May God see us through this period (Amen)

I’ve been battling with serious acne for about 2 months now, I’ve tried all sorts to clear my face, tried some over the counter remedies which didn’t work for me. That frustration led me to trying out this homemade face mask i will be sharing with you all today.

Things needed to make this mask are:

  • Lemon juice
  • Baking soda
  • Tumeric
  • Clean bowl
  • Stirring spoon

  • Put all ingredients in a bowl, mix well to make a fine paste
  • Apply this paste on the affected skin areas, leave for 20 minutes and rinse off with water.

In the below video you’ll see that my skin isn’t yet perfect but it’s 85% better than it was 2 months ago.

Note: Always apply sunscreen when going out after using lemon juice on your skin because it causes short-term increased sun sensitivity and could irritate sensitive skin, in my own opinion this face mask is the best acne home remedy for staycation, because you won’t be in need of any sunscreen since we are all at home.

Thanks for reading….Cya❤️❤️

  1. Thanks for the post! I’ve used baking soda and lemon for my teeth, but never thought about using it for my face. How curious. I have heard turmeric is really great for the skin but I’m so scared of trying it because I hear it stains. Maybe I’ll try just a little bit. I just posted a face mask/scrub review on my blog. Would you mind checking it out and leaving a comment letting me know that you think?
